Frequently Asked Questions

I deliver edited galleries within 2 weeks of your session date. I know the anticipation is REAL, so I try to send galleries off even sooner than that when my schedule allows.

When will I get my photos back?

I’m a lifestyle photographer because I believe photos should help you relive moments. I’ll get a few “say cheese” photos of everyone looking at the camera, but the majority of our time together will be more candid, playful and relaxed.

What types of images do you take?

I specialize in lifestyle family, maternity and newborn sessions, while also photographing select weddings, engagements, seniors and boudoir sessions!

What types of sessions do you do?

I use fun and easy prompts to help make sure we photograph your best side in a natural and beautiful way. It is okay to be nervous before your session. I know how important these images are to you! I’ll take care of the posing, so you can be yourself with your loved ones.

What do I do with my hands?

I really feel this question because it is the hardest part of planning my own family photos! I will personally help you choose outfits for your session during our booking process. I have created this Pinterest Board for inspiration, and you will also have access to my Client Closet for your session.

What should I wear?

I live in Camas, WA and photograph families across the PDX area. Longview, WA to Lake Oswego, OR is my usual range!

Where are you located?

Yes, absolutely! You can order prints straight from your online gallery. Pricing is similar to popular consumer labs (like Walgreens), but your photos are printed through professional, high-quality labs—so you can feel confident knowing your images will look beautiful and true to color.

Can I order prints through you?

Yes! Meaningful props are always welcome and encouraged. Pets are welcome too—just let me know ahead of time so I can plan for a pet-friendly location and include any applicable pet fees during booking.

Do you allow props or pets?

Yes. A $150 non-refundable retainer is required to hold your session date, with the remaining balance due one week before your session.

Do you require a deposit?

Preparation is easier than you might think! Whether your session is in-home or in-studio, my goal is to keep things relaxed and baby-led.

At a high level:

Neutral, comfortable outfits photograph beautifully

A light tidy of main living areas and counters is plenty

Take a deep breath—you don’t need to be “perfect”

I’m always happy to help tidy, bring outfits or swaddles, and gently guide you throughout the session. Newborn sessions can last up to 2 hours, which gives us plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks whenever needed.

You can find more detailed tips and guidance on my blog.

How do I prepare for a newborn session?

Booking is simple! You can book directly online, and my calendar is always updated through the end of the year for full sessions. Choose a date that works best for you, and once you’re booked, I’ll personally reach out to connect.

After booking, we’ll go over location options, confirm timing (weather can play a role!), and chat about outfits or any questions you may have.

Mini sessions are shared with my email list first before being added to my online booking site throughout the year.

How do I book a session?

I know life with kids can be unpredictable, and I do my best to be as flexible and understanding as possible.

Newborn sessions can be rescheduled at no additional cost.

Family sessions include one free reschedule with advance notice.

Mini sessions are a little trickier to move, but in many cases your payment can be transferred to a future mini session date.

Kids get sick, postpartum recovery varies, and plans change—I truly get it.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Let's capture the chaos, while it's still here.

My baby-led and family-focused approach lets me capture frame-worthy smiles and joyful candid photos that tell your family's story.
